Blog #4 Coconut Magic

When I was young, my mom always used to give me a body massage with coconut oil for the numerous benefits it brings with it. I really enjoyed that because coconut oil has a really nice smell. Well, very recently, during these winters I felt my skin had become a little dry, so I ordered organic virgin coconut oil to use as a moisturizing lotion for myself. Since I was really intrigued about its other benefits as one of my friends said she even used Coconut oil on her face for a supple skin I thought why not read some articles on Google about it.

I ended up really liking this article from Coconut-Oil-Tips.com about the use of coconut for thick brows and luscious lashes. According to me, eyes are an extremely important part of the face and nice eye features, especially for girls, are really attractive. I love taking good care of my eyes and making them look pretty, so this article was a good read for me. This article not only mentioned the good uses of coconut oil but also how to use the oil.

The article rightly says that the eyebrows shape the face and give character and expression to it. It says that fuller brows are in these days. Instead of spending time and money at a parlor and getting your brows perfected by makeup artists to make eyebrows more natural, coconut oil could save you from the stress of that particular makeup routine.

People lacking fuller lashes often employ mascara or false lashes. Mascara and false lashes aren't only bad by themselves but are also harmful to your natural lashes. Quick drying mascaras are horrible as when the mascara dries, your lashes are in danger of drying out and falling out. Further, the glue used to apply these lashes to the eyelash line are full of chemicals that could irritate the eyes or cause the natural lashes to fall out the more. Truly, why spend so much on short-term solutions when you can naturally improve your brows and lashes with pocket-friendly coconut oil?

The article then challenges us to try coconut oil on eyebrows and lashes for a few weeks ourselves and witness the miracle it does. You can grow soft and shiny lashes and brows by just routinely applying coconut oil to them. Your hair follicles will love you. This is so true in my opinion too that the best thing about using coconut oil around the eyes is that even if it manages to get into the eyes, it will not sting.

The best way to use coconut oil on brows is cleaning the face and then starting with brushing the hair a spoolie and then massaging the coconut oil into it. For the lashes, it is recommended to best apply the oil on it at night. Wash the face and then with the help of a cotton swab put coconut oil in liquid form on your lashes. You don’t want to introduce germs into your eyes by using your fingers. Put on just enough so that your lashes feel moisturized.

The youtube blogger begins by talking a little about the history of the market. She finds it funny yet absurd that this market, in INA was opened in the year 1994 and was made wheelchair accessible in 2003. She explains that since India is such a di...

Blog #6 Aisha Movie Review

One of my all-time favorite movies is ‘ Aisha .’ I decided to find reviews of that movie and see how others perceived it as.   Mayank Shekhar, an Indian film critic gave the movie a 1/2 star out of 5. Let's find out why. The critique explains th at the movie begins with a wedding of a middle-aged pair with couples sipping on champagne, tinkling & toasting to good health and white sparkling white clothes. He made sure to point out that white is considered an inauspicious color by Hindus. In this movie, Sundays afternoons were reserved for fancy hats at the races. He claims to have never gone for such imagined circles and found them hyped. According to him, these details were necessary.   He then described how he found the New York-based Mira Nair seem to know more about New Delhi’s upper-class and Punjabis as in the movie Monsoon Wedding, than this director. The film borrows from Jane Austen’s novel Emma. Sonam Kapoor plays the lead role and she’s Aisha ....
